SORT – There isn’t much here, but in the theme of completion… SORT – There are a couple images you might want. SKIP – Note - There are some images in here of pre-made maps that might be useful as inspiration You should be able to follow down this list and only open up the folders that say to sort through them. It is up to you which specific assets are worth saving. For simplicity’s sake, I will simply say whether to skip a folder or to sort through it. Thankfully, I will be handling the hard part, which is sorting through each folder to figure out what is in it and locating the actual image files that we can copy into our assets folder. With our folders all set up, the next part is to gather all of the assets. This gives you a bit of a baseline to start from, or you can come up with your own folder structure. Category will be whatever types of categories I decide to sort things into as I organize the files. This is key for uploading to DungeonFog later, as you need to select if you are uploading a file as Asset or Texture. This is the folder structure I will be using so that you can set yourself the same way if you would like.Īssets\Campaign Cartographer\Type\Category\ If you do decide to copy them all into your assets folder, I suggest splitting each res into it’s own sub folder. The assets in CC3 are given as Very Low, Low, High, and Very High.

One thing to consider right away is what resolution of assets you want to grab. If you went with the default location, the files are in C:\ProgramData\Profantasy\CC3Plus.Īt this point, things get a little technical, but I will work from the top of the folder down for finding assets and moving them over. In the new window you need to get to where the CC3 assets are stored. Open your Campaign Cartographer Assets folder in one window, then open the file explorer in another window on the side of it. I sort this folder further with subfolders for each source of assets as well, you can see Caeora and 2MinuteTabletop in my assets folder as well. I recommend that you create a folder somewhere in your computer for map making assets that you will be using.

CD3 PROFANTASY INSTALL

There might be a way around this, but I chose to just take the easy way and install it in it’s default location. I tried to install everything on a different hard drive and for some reason, some of the add-ons wouldn’t recognize that I had the base Campaign Cartographer installed and would fail to install. Getting Startedīefore doing anything else, you need to get Campaign Cartographer 3 and install the program.

Even if you missed out on the bundle, you can still follow this guide if you wish to buy in to Campaign Cartographer 3 on its own.įirst, I feel it is very relevant to post a part of the license agreement that has allowed me to dive into this legitimately.

CD3 PROFANTASY SOFTWARE

This post is mostly to serve as a tutorial for getting the assets from Campaign Cartographer 3, and it’s various add-ons, into DungeonFog Once you have sorted them for yourself, they can be used in any software that supports custom assets however. Ever since working on The Dark Lord’s Manor map for the Caeora Map Making Competition, I have been interested in adding in some new assets to work with in DungeonFog, and this bundle was a great way to gain access to a ton of new assets for a very affordable price. As the videos on my channel so far might have given away, I have chosen DungeonFog as my map making software of choice, at least when it comes to smaller scale area maps. However, I was very interested in this for something else. Specifically, it was Campaign Cartographer 3 and a bunch of its addons. So recently there was a great bundle over on Humble Bundle for some map making stuff, it actually ends today (July 8, 2020) if you’re quick.
